The world is changing; it used to be you had to be in the same room as a contract in order to sign it. No longer! New Jersey Brooklyn Nets star Deron Williams, reinvigorated by the recent trade for Joe Johnson (and with a potential Dwight Howard deal swirling), signed a 5-year $98 million contract extension.
However, currently training with Team USA in preparation for the Olympics, Williams is unable to travel to New York/New Jersey to actually sign the deal. So, using a free app (Sign Now) and an iPad he officially signed his deal and will be the foundation for the Nets as they transition to Brooklyn this season.
What a world we live in!
