Being an umpire at the major league level is difficult enough, what with pitchers able to throw over 100 mph and all that. It's even more difficult when one of those high velocity fastballs goes right into your twig and berries. Unluckily for home plate umpire Greg Gibson, that was his exact situation on Saturday when a Stephen Strasburg 96 mph fastball nicked the tip of Wilson Ramos' glove before burying itself in Gibson's manparts.
That just seems like the worst. Although it's sure to become a Homer Simpson favorite.
