Joakim Noah Gets in on the Hate Speech
David Stern is supposed to be the most powerful of all the US sport commissioner's and yet, it seems Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls doesn't pay attention to Stern's mandates.
After Kobe Bryant got a $100,000 fine for calling a ref a "faggot" the NBA started a campaign to stop using anti-gay slurs; Noah must have missed the email because during Sunday's game against the Heat he ended up being caught on national TV calling a fan a "fucking faggot." Oops!
I bet Stern LOVES seeing this today. Especially after the league started to rebound (that's called clever word-play bee tee dubs) with the Phoenix Suns president coming out in a great article in the New York Times, this has got to really chaf the commissioner's ass.
I'm thinking Joakim is going to be a good deal poorer soon.
