Cubs Buy a McDonalds, Can Prince Fielder be Far Behind?
Scott Boras can make up a 73 page briefing on why teams should want to sign Prince Fielder, but the Chicago Cubs have made the biggest, smartest move yet towards attracting the burly slugger to the Windy City: for $20 million the owners of the Cubs purchased a piece of land across the street from Wrigley; the current occupant of the space is a McDonalds. While Prince may still remain a vegetarian, that doesn't mean he can resist the Siren call of freshly made french fries wafting through the air. And think how convenient the location is; only just across the street, Prince could run across during a game and be back with his super-sized fries before it was his turn to bat!
Other teams may come in with bigger offers, but how can Prince turn down such a convenient food option?
This might be Theo's best free agent marketing plan yet!
