Longtime readers of the site know that I am a big fan of Australian swimming sensation Stephanie Rice, (examples A, B, C, D) both for her prowess in the pool and most importantly, for how she looks OUT of the water. She's hot.
While the 2012 Olympics are still several years away, she's found a new way to keep herself in the news, although methinks she'd prefer NOT to be this time.
After Australia's rugby team, the Wallabies beat the South African Springboks on Saturday, Rice took to her Twitter account to celebrate. "Suck on that faggots" she wrote, "Probs the best game I've ever seen!! Well done boys."
It seems that people took some offense. Rice ultimately deleted the tweet after it caused an uproar but once something is out on the Internet it remains forever, somewhere and there's no deleting that.
In an email to the Sydney Daily Telegraph she said: "I made a comment on Twitter last night in the excitement of the moment.
"I did not mean to cause offence and I apologise. I have deleted it from the site."
Sounds like someone needs a firm spanking. I volunteer.
