LFL Players on Probation for Wearing too MUCH Clothing
The LFL season has come and gone but the league's stars are still out and about doing publicity, drumming up interest for next season. This past season Miami Caliente QB Anonka Dixon (right) led the league in TD passes, rushing TDs and was the second-leading rusher in the game; her favorite target, Tina Caccavale (left), led the league in touchdown receptions and in interceptions and so the two were doing a photo shoot for the alt-weekly Broward New Times.
In the photographs the women are in shoulder pads and face paint but the league was not happy with the final result. It seems the league was upset that the two women were wearing too MUCH clothing which is not one you hear from most employers -- at least since the Mad Men days ended.
The league insists their issue was not the amount of clothing but what they specifically were wearing.
"One of the covers has an NFL logo and they had on Rawlings shoulder pads and Nike wristbands," league spokesman Stephon McMillen said. "They were displaying non-league partners. It’s a legal issue for us."
Both players are placed on an indefinite probation so long as they are in the league, another violation would result in their being banned from the league.
