Ashley-Madison Wants to Swing With the Giants and Jets
Sure, it's just a publicity stunt, and a way for them to get some free advertising, but the new Giants/Jets Meadowlands stadium has a $25 million naming rights offer in hand from AshleyMadison.com, the dating website for married folk.
AshleyMadison founder, Noel Biderman -- whose wife, if he's married, must be PSYCHED by his business -- offered a 5-year deal, at $5 million per year, for the rights to have his company's name plastered all over the stadium.
While the offer is underpriced as compared to the $7M the Panthers get from Bank of America, or the $20M per year the Mets received from Citibank, Biderman wrote the CEO of the Meadowlands stadium that "We would be pleased to match any such superior offer."
The likelihood of a deal coming to fruition though is about the same as Rex Ryan appearing in body-paint in next year's SI Swimsuit edition.
