The Wolves are Doing it Wrong

david-kahnMuch has been made of the often bizarre moves by the Wolves' GM David Kahn, last year he drafted approximately 12 guards in the first round of the draft, one of whom remains in Spain -- Ricky Rubio -- and is unlikely to come play for the Wolves anytime soon.

With all those guards on the roster already, it only makes sense for the Wolves to make a move, dealing from a relative position of strength and acquiring the other pieces they need to possibly contend. To that end, David Kahn pulled off a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers dealing off point guard Ramon Sessions and center Ryan Hollins. Yes! Well done!

Except in exchange from the Cavaliers the Wolves received back TWO guards, Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair. Face palm. You're doing it wrong Kahn.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHN!

Clearly there's a plan here that none of us can see. Is David Kahn trying to assemble the first ever all-guard team? Perhaps he plans on having one guard stand on another's shoulders, entering the game as ONE player with 4 arms? There's always the chance these moves are just a precursor to acquiring Stephon Marbury. I hear he's available and the Wolves DO have a need at point...

If I were a Minnesota Timberwolves fan -- like my Bloguin masters -- I'd probably light myself on fire. Self-immolation will absolutely be less painful than watching the Wolves limp through another abject season devoid of hope or possibility. Plus, it'd be far more entertaining for the onlookers than anything the Wolves will do on the court...
