The world can't get enough curling it seems, and it isn't just normal schlubs like you and me who are watching but other, real, athletes. People like San Francisco 49'ers tight end Vernon Davis who is the honorary captain of the US men's curling team. Davis first got interested in the sport when a SF reporter asked how he thought he might do on the ice. Davis took her up on it and tried the game, and while he isn't leaving the NFL for the ice rinks anytime soon, he was sufficiently intrigued by the game.
The curling federation heard about his interest and that led to Davis filming a commercial for them (after the jump) and his paying his own way to be at the Olympics cheering his new favorites on.
