To honor the games and the people participating in them, The Slanch Report will be bringing you TWICE DAILY the Hot Olympian of the Day. We will bring you every day two otherwise likely unknown-to-you Olympians who, while maybe not quite worthy of a place on the medal stand, certainly are worth being placed on a pedestal for us to enjoy. Celebrate them all on the Hot Olympians page.
Torah Bright turned pro at the age of 14, and since then, the now 23-year-old is one of the best snowboarders in the world. Not to mention that she's incredibly gorgeous. The Australian native now lives and trains in Salt Lake City which means that Australia's loss is America's gain! Despite getting 2 concussions during her practice runs, Bright still managed to pull out the gold medal in the women's half-pipe competition edging out a strong field of contenders. Her medal showed the Australians made a fine choice in their flag-bearer at the opening ceremonies.
I don't know about the rest of y'all, but Australian women do it for me, I love the accent, the attitude, and when they look like Torah, they go from 10's to 11's! Unfortunately for all of us, Torah is a Mormon and so, some fun is unavailable to her. "For me it's just a way of life – I don't drink, smoke, drink tea or coffee, or have sex before marriage. I've never drunk or smoked but I'll go out to dance and stay up late and then drive home at the end of the night." She's also engaged to fellow snowboarder Jake Welch. Sigh.
