To honor the games and the people participating in them, The Slanch Report will be bringing you TWICE DAILY the Hot Olympian of the Day. We will bring you every day two otherwise likely unknown-to-you Olympians who, while maybe not quite worthy of a place on the medal stand, certainly are worth being placed on a pedestal for us to enjoy. Celebrate them all on the Hot Olympians page.
While her teammate Laura Lepisto is the stronger medal contender, Finland's Kiira Korpi proves her worth to the team by being far more attractive. It's important for one to know her role. That's not to say Korpi is just a pretty face, she's ranked 11th in the world in figure skating, but she's likely to find herself well out-classed by the other skaters.
The Vancouver games represent the second games for the 21-year-old Korpi -- she placed 16th at the 2006 games -- and her third Olympic experience; in 1998, Kiira's father, Rauno, coached the Finnish women to a bronze medal in hockey at Nagano. Off the ice, Kiira is a student at the University of Tampere and likes yoga and pilates. Yum!
