Curlers Are the Hottest Thing on Ice

We will bring you every day two otherwise likely unknown-to-you Olympians who, while maybe not quite worthy of a place on the medal stand, certainly are worth being placed on a pedestal for us to enjoy. Melanie Robillard was born and raised in Ottawa but due to her mother's German citizenship, she is the second on the German's curling squad. Currently studying to become a lawyer at the University of Brussels, Robillard speaks German, French, Spanish and English fluently. Most importantly, Robillard posed semi-nude for a calendar promoting curling in 2005.
The 27-year-old is making her Olympics debut in Vancouver and the Germans look to be struggling. After winning their first two matches, the Germans have subsequently lost 5 in a row in the round-robin tournament. Might I suggest Robillard strip down once more, it may not help the team succeed but it will be certainly welcome by the fans in attendance.
